South African Grammy award-winning singer Tyla Laura Seethal popularly known simply as Tyla is set to take the world by storm again as she unveils a mind blowing track list ahead of her debut music album, which is announced to be released on Friday, March 22, 2024.
According to the South African music gem, who made the disclosure via a recent Instagram post, the much-anticipated music album, which is a compilation of 14 songs and is named after her, will feature other notable South African and international artists, including South African Kelvin Momo, Nigerian singer Tems, Becky G, and American rapper Gunna.

Meanwhile, amidst the excitement from fans over the album she intends to release in the next few days, it is quite unfortunate that Tyla disclosed she has been silently battling with an injury for the past year – the reason she cancelled her first tour “The Tyla Tour” and her performance at Coachella.
She reportedly wrote on her social media handle, “As much as this is something I would rather have dealt with privately, it’s important that I share what I have to share with you today. For the past year, I’ve been silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened. I’ve seen doctors and specialists with high hopes, but the pain has only become more agonising, as has the severity of the situation.”
“I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this, but as of right now, I won’t be able to proceed with the tour.”
She added that, “In consulting with medical professionals, it has become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety.”
Despite being frustrated by the hurdles the injury has brought to her career at this pivotal point in the music industry, Tyla optimistically assured fans of a “spectacular show” as soon as she recovers.
She said, “Words cannot describe my frustration at this pivotal point in my career. So please know that my team and I are working diligently on a spectacular show for you as soon as I am recovered and ready to return safely on stage this summer.
