Early life
Jacques Bermon Webster II, better known by his stage name Travis Scott, was born on April 30, 1991, in Houston, Texas, in the United States. His mother, Wanda Webster, supposedly worked for AT&T, while his father, Jacques Webster Sr., was a self-employed businessman. While his parents lived in Missouri City, Scott was raised by his grandmother Sealie in the Sunnyside district of southern Houston for the first six years of his life.
Even though Travis Scott was still quite sensitive, he claims that his surroundings inspired him to choose to become a great person. He once claimed that he saw a lot of crazy people growing up in the hood with his grandmother, including “mad bums and crazy spazzed out motherfuckers; I saw people looking weird, hungry, and grimey.” As a result, he made the decision to be different from these people, and that decision has guided his decisions in life to get him to where he is today.
He then moved to live with his parents in Missouri City, a middle-class suburban community that borders southwest Houston. His parents later shaped his interest in music. Jacques Sr., the father of Travis Scott, had dreamed of being a musician but had given up the idea to concentrate on his companies, therefore his attempts at being a musician never succeeded. Nevertheless, recognising his son’s ability, he made the decision to encourage his desire to pursue music; at the age of three, he gave him a piano, and he continued to provide for him every need in order for him to advance and become a successful musician.
Eventually, while participating in musical theatre at Elkins High School, Travis Scott began attempting his hand at music. After graduating aged seventeen, he was accepted to study for his degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In order to concentrate on his music career, Travis left school in his second year.
Musical career
In 2008, Travis Scott and his long-time buddy Chris Holloway created a duet known as the Graduates, marking the beginning of their musical adventure. Later that year, they made their debut Extended Play (EP) available on Myspace. The following year, Travis evolved into a musical ensemble they called The Classmates. In 2009, the ensemble collaborated with Buddy Rich on two projects that were released. Travis was a member of the group until 2012, when they chose to break up due to an unresolved financial disagreement.
Travis Scott moved to New York City’s Washington Heights after quitting school to concentrate on his music career. He could only sleep on the floor and squirt with a friend during his stay, so things were not great for him there. He moved to Los Angeles to meet with a friend who would ultimately desert him after becoming dissatisfied with his lack of advancement and financial limitations.
His parents had stopped providing for him financially at this point since they were upset with him for leaving school without their permission. During that time, he was frustrated until T.I., an Atlanta-based rapper and Grand Hustle Records owner, contacted him through his representative after hearing one of Trivis’ songs. This marked the start of his recovery.
Travis Scott eventually found stability after enduring all of the “bad days.” The rapper, who was born in Houston, declared in January 2016 that a new studio album would be released on March 29, 2016. His career took off after the album, and he went on to accomplish even more amazing feats because a lot of well-known musicians agreed to work with him. Travis Scott has collaborated with a number of well-known artists, including Drake, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Allen Ritter, Isaac Boni, KayCyy, and Michael Mule.
He is among the most well-known artists in the world right now. His discography includes more than four studio albums, two mixtapes, one compilation album, three joint mixtapes, two joint Extended Plays (EP), and more than 56 singles, 27 of which feature him as an artist.
Family background
It is said that Travis Scott received his musical talent from his father, Jacques Webster Sr., and added his mother’s flair; in other words, his parents have had a significant impact on his music career. When things didn’t go as planned for him as a musician, his father sadly gave up on his dream of being a musician. He then directed that efforts towards growing his companies. During an interview, Travis mentioned that his father was also a musician. He performed more in the vein of soul music, and it was from my grandfather and parents that I learnt all of my music theory.
His parents were initially supportive of his desire to pursue music, but when he left school to concentrate on it, they finally became irate with him. They ceased supporting him financially and musically as well. They are still among his most ardent supporters, though. Wanda, his mother, has made it her mission to maintain her reputation as the “mother of the musical star” on Instagram by regularly sharing his photos and going to his performances.
Travis revealed in an interview that his father, Jacques Sr., is proud of him, despite the fact that he is much more quiet than his mother and rarely displays the same level of excitement in public. “My dad was saying, ‘Son!’ over the phone. You accomplished so much! I’m so happy for you! stated Travis. “Yo dad, you told me I wasn’t going to do shit!” I exclaimed. What kind of talk would I be having with my dad right now if I weren’t where I am? I’ll be thinking about that shit all day long, dude.”
Relationship
In April 2017, businesswoman and media celebrity Kylie Jenner started dating Travis Scott. Eventually, in February 2018, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Fans of their relationship enquired if they were secretly married, but they never received a clear response. Eventually, the answer was revealed. September 2019 saw their breakup. Because of the COVID-19 epidemic at the time, they made the decision to confine their daughter together.
Eventually, the connection was rekindled and their feelings started to surface again. Though it sounded ridiculous given their recent breakup, Jenner later disclosed that she and Travis were expecting their second child. But, it came to pass when Jenner gave birth to their second son in February 2022; sadly, their relationship degenerated once more, and they split up in January 2023.
