She was able to secure her first Billboard Hot 100 entry with one of the tracks from the Extended Play EP, “Gangster Boo,” which featured Lil Tjay, during an even greater era. Her joint project singles “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj and Aqua, “Karma” with Taylor Swift, and “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” with PinkPantheress all contributed to her more mainstream fame. Undoubtedly, all of these projects placed in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female rapper to accomplish so in the history of hip-hop.

Early Life
In contrast to many well-known rappers, Ice Spice spent the most of her childhood with her grandparents and cousins. She received her early schooling in the Bronx and at Yonkers’ Catholic Sacred Heart High School, where she graduated in 2018 with honours.
The child quickly developed a love for hip-hop when he was seven years old. She was completely enamoured with amazing hit tracks by female rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim.
Isis was the oldest of five siblings and, because her father was obligated to be of African-American descent, she grew up with a mixed heritage. After being an underground rapper before he welcomed Ice Spice into his family, her father, Joseph Gaston, also helped to biologically enhance her musical fame and talent. According to the opposing viewpoint, her mother, Charina Almanzar, is Dominican. Even though she had Ice Spice at the age of 17, she managed to find a job at a car dealership where she worked and supported her kids. As she nursed a 2-year-old Ice Spice, her marriage to her husband also fell apart.
Ice Spice continued to write poetry and freestyle rap from elementary school through high school, following her inspiration and the things that truly motivated her during her early years. The heavily endowed rapper shared her experience in an interview with Billiboard, saying that her father’s rap notoriety inspired her to listen to artists like Wu-Tang Clan, 50 Cent, and Jay-Z when she was growing up.
According to her, she would freestyle aloud to hip-hop instrumentals while listening to and typing out lyrics in her iPhone’s Notes app. In the interview, Ice Spice also talked about how she was enthralled by Nicki Minaj at first sight because she was the first female rapper she had ever seen, which fuelled her desire to become what she had always wanted to be.
Ice Spice completed her collegiate education at the State University of New York at Purchase, where she studied communications and played defensive specialist for the volleyball team. In seven games during the 2018 season, she recorded two kills and nine digs. However, Ice Spice left SUNY Purchase despite this opinion, stating that she didn’t think the institution was the perfect match for her and that the “strenuous commute” was the reason she left college. She continued to live up to her civil rights by working as a cashier at Wendy’s and The Gap.
