Liver pool has been tipped to change their kit suppliers in 2025 after their 5 year partnership with Nike comes to an end.
The reds took a risk in partnering with Nike in 2020, which an agreement of 30 million euros was going to be paid to the clothing brand annually, significantly less than the stipulated amount has been paid in the very biggest deals by the club over the years. But Nike’s long established leading presence in the football and entire sport industry and it’s marketing prowess has attracted the reds into making deals with them, making it possible to trigger higher levels of payments through sales and royalties.
The reds went as far as winning a legal battle in 2019 to partner with Nike, this was after they had allegedly gone to court for not securing a deal with New balance, the deal with new balance was fixed at an amount of 40 thousand euros per year, the reds argued and doubted new balance’s ability to meet the the proposed deal. yet the the relationship between Nike and Liverpool is seen to be coming to an end, and speculations on going proposes Adidas to be the next bidder for the deal in a recent tender process.
Any such deal between Liverpool and a clothing brand is meant to last for a period of five years from the start of the 2025/2026 season up till 2029/2030. The clubs previous kits have been supplied by British companies Umbro and Reebok over the years.
